 General Information:
     
  Lords Vinayaka, Dakshinamurthi Sathya Narayana and Nagar grace the devotees from under the Bodhi tree-Arasa Maram in the eastern prakara of the temple.  Sun, Moon, Sani Bhagwan and Anjaneya shrines are also in this part of the prakara.  Navagrahas the nine planets are in the northeastern corner.  
     
Prayers
    
  On the Naga Chaturthi day in September-October (Aavani Tamil Month), devotees circumambulate the Arasa Maram 108 times seeking child boon.  Women seeking a long married life with their husbands pray to Mother Sivakama Sundari – Mangal Sutra longevity boon.

  Devotees perform abishek to Lord and Mother offering vastras. 
    
 Greatness Of Temple:
     
  Opposite to the Mahamandap, Mother Sivakama Sundari holding Ankusa, Pasa and showing Her Abhaya Hastha-hand assuring protection from fear, graces the devotees from Her shrine facing south.  Lord in His Linga form blesses the devotees from the sanctum sanctorum facing east.
Lord Vinayaka on the left and Lord Muruga with His consorts Valli and Deivanai are in the in the Artha Mandapa.  Mother Mari Amman is praised by the devotees as Chella Mari Amman.  Special abishek and pujas are dedicated to Lord Kala Bhairava on the Ashtami day – eighth day – in the new moon fortnight.  Besides all  Shiva related special pujas throughout the year, Navarathri is grandly celebrated in the temple.
 
     
  Temple History:
     
  Lord Shiva committed Himself to the service and protection all beings of the world meeting their needs.  He cast a look on Mother Ambica Who understood Lord’s intention.  Being half of Lord Shiva, Ambica played the part of a beloved Mother and fulfilled His desire.  As so loving and devoted to Lord, Ambica came to be praised as Sivakama Sundari meaning so dear to Lord.  This is one of the temples, where Ambica is praised by devotees by this name.
