  Kavadi festival in Chithirai (April-May), Guru Jayanthi with Annadhanam-poor feeding on August 15, Kruthika star days and days related to Muruga worship are celebrated in the temple.  
     
 Temple's Speciality:
     
  The one unique significance of the temple is that Lord Muruga decides His dressings (Alankara) each day – as a King-Raja Alankaram, as a poor-Aandi, dressed in His alluring best-Sarva Alankaram. The Lord communicates His desire to the Guru of this place, Sri Krishna Nandaji in his dream which is followed by the priests the next day. The tradition is followed till this day.

Thirty years ago, a staunch Lord Muruga Devotee, Guru Krishna Nandaji was wandering in the forests of this region and took up deep penance from a cave here.  He installed Lord Muruga in the Annamalai hills and continued the worship.  The popularity of the temple gained momentum.  This is a temple in the midst of all natural beauty.
